At the Sotheby’s Geneva auction, a historical piece of jewelry will be exhibited – a tiara that has been passed down from generation to generation of the Italian royal family.

The tiara curls with large loops, encrusted with diamonds of various cuts; in the center of each loop is a drop-shaped sea pearl, 11.4 to 21 mm long.

In fact, the jewelry consists of two parts: a wide diamond hoop and loops with pearls: these parts can be separated and worn separately. In this case, the first part becomes a diadem, and the second part becomes a necklace approximately 38 cm long. Musy’s signature is on the diadem.

The estimated cost of the tiara ranges from 994 thousand to 1.5 million US dollars, and before the jewelry goes under the hammer, the organizer provided an opportunity for anyone who wants to feel like a member of the royal family and “try on” the tiara, however, only virtually. Or rather, through the “story” in Instagram.

In an Instagram post, Sotheby’s shared: “To mark her debut at auction, we created an interactive effect that allows you to virtually ‘try on’ the tiara against the backdrop of a magnificent Italian palace.”

The Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels auction will take place on May 11th.
