Crown Jewels of King Charles III – worth mind-blowing money

With the coronation of King Charles III reportedly set for June 3, 2023 at Westminster Abbey, all attention is now on the details of this momentous day. One of the important aspects of Charles’s wardrobe will be his coronation jewelry, as it is an opportunity to showcase rare (and expensive) items from the royal family’s collection.

It’s been 70 years since the last official coronation ceremony took place, so King Charles is likely to be fully armed for this historic occasion. According to our records, there is a special collection he will wear that is valued at $4.2 billion. It will be embellished to the maximum with precious stones, among which are “the crown of St. Edwards, the sovereign’s ring, the imperial state crown, the sovereign’s scepter with a dove, the sovereign’s scepter with a cross, the sovereign’s orb, and the sword of offering.”

“The Coronation Jewels contain some of the most valuable and famous jewels in the world – including the Crown Jewels,” said jewelry expert Stephen Stone.

“Consisting of sacred objects used during the coronation ceremony, the coronation regalia we can expect in the near future, during the coronation ceremony of King Charles III.” The Imperial State Crown, which was commissioned for the coronation of King George VI in 1937, will be worn as Charles leaves Westminster Abbey after the coronation ceremony. The crown of gold, silver and platinum is adorned with 2,868 diamonds, 269 pearls, 17 sapphires and 11 emeralds” and is valued at $2.8 billion.”

Another more “modest” decoration will be the Sovereign’s Orb, worth more than $195,000, which Charles will hold in his right hand during the coronation. She will then be placed at the altar right before the coronation. The orb is richly decorated with “9 emeralds, 18 rubies, 9 sapphires, 365 diamonds, 375 pearls, an amethyst and a glass stone.” Needless to say, there will be heavy security around the royal family as this is just a small list of what King Charles III will be wearing on that day. The rest of the royal family, including Queen Consort Camilla, will also be wearing their royal attire.
